If you’ve tried to access my blog today, you were probably met with a new look ever few minutes for a good hour. Sorry if there was any inconvenience! Every year or so, I decide to go for a new look. I want something that’s the same, but different. Something fresh, yet comfortable. I think I’ve found it, but I’m not sure about the background color. Gray is my go to color, but it’s time for a change! I’ve trimmed down the sidebar, but all the pages should still be accessible.
One other bit of newness is a bit of merch! I’ve designed two t-shirts that will be available for the next 3 weeks. They’ll help with travel fees where I’ll be presenting at Childhoods of Color Conference, American Association of School Librarians, National Council of Teachers of English, Assembly on Literature for Adolescents of the NCTE (ALAN) Workshop and ALA Midwinter. They also promote African American children’s authors. If this goes well, I may try it again to raise funds and awareness for other areas of children’s literature in the future.
Thanks for reading the blog and for all you do to support our children.
